    A Programming Interface for Creating Data According to the SPAR Ontologies and the OpenCitations Data Model

    The OpenCitations Data Model (OCDM) is a data model for bibliographic metadata and citations based on the SPAR Ontologies and developed by OpenCitations to expose all the data of its collections as sets of RDF statements compliant with an ontology named OpenCitations Ontology. In this paper, we introduce oc_ocdm, i.e. a Python library developed for creating OCDM-compliant RDF data even if the programmer has no expertise in Semantic Web technologies. After an introduction of the library and its main characteristics, we show a number of projects within the OpenCitations infrastructure that adopt it as their building block unit

    ArCo: the Italian Cultural Heritage Knowledge Graph

    ArCo is the Italian Cultural Heritage knowledge graph, consisting of a network of seven vocabularies and 169 million triples about 820 thousand cultural entities. It is distributed jointly with a SPARQL endpoint, a software for converting catalogue records to RDF, and a rich suite of documentation material (testing, evaluation, how-to, examples, etc.). ArCo is based on the official General Catalogue of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBAC) - and its associated encoding regulations - which collects and validates the catalogue records of (ideally) all Italian Cultural Heritage properties (excluding libraries and archives), contributed by CH administrators from all over Italy.     Vegetation cover analysis using a low budget hyperspectral proximal sensing system

    This report describes the implementation of a hyperspectral proximal sensing low-budget acquisition system and its application to the detection of terrestrian vegetation cover anomalies in sites of high environmental quality. Anomalies can be due to stress for lack of water and/or pollution phenomena and weed presence in agricultural fields. The hyperspectral cube (90-bands ranging from 450 to 900 nm) was acquired from the hill near Segni (RM), approximately 500 m far from the target, by means of electronically tunable filters and 8 bit CCD cameras. Spectral libraries were built using both endmember identification method and extraction of centroids of the clusters obtained from a k-means analysis of the image itself. Two classification methods were applied on the hyperspectral cube: Spectral Angle Mapper (hard) and Mixed Tuned Matching Filters (MTMF). Results show the good capability of the system in detecting areas with an arboreal, shrub or leafage cover, distinguishing between zones with different spectral response. Better results were obtained using spectral library originated by the k-means method. The detected anomalies not correlated to seasonal phenomena suggest a ground true analysis to identify their origin

    The binding of Cd (II) by the fulvic acid from a Suwannee River (FA) was investigated at various pH values and reactants ratios by Cd-113 NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy. The NMR results provided evidences that the FA-Cd interactions occur through a variety of binding modes and mechanisms. Different kinds of organically bound Cd-species were detected in the 1.8-10.8 pH range depending on the FA/Cd ratios. Labile complexes (amenable to Cd-aminoacidic and Cd-hydroxy interactions or outer-sphere complexes) were observed at low pH and FA/Cd levels while stronger interactions (of carboxylate-type or inner-sphere complexation) took place as the pH and/or the FA concentration were increased. At pH ca. 6 insoluble FA-Cd adducts were primarily produced but, at relatively large FA concentration, only soluble complexes, stable in the whole pH 1.8-10.8 range, were formed. A complementary analysis, by fluorescence spectroscopy, provided clear evidences of FA-Cd association/aggregation phenomena. While no noticeable effects occurred with soluble samples, the formation of insoluble adducts led to significant enhancements of the emission fluorescence spectra. Although other explanations could not be excluded, this result was accounted for by modifications of the optical properties of the ligand itself due to sedimentation of the heavier components. Fluorescence enhancement was also observed on samples before the effective precipitation and interpreted as spectroscopic evidence of the onset of aggregation phenomena

Nel solco del progetto Zeri & LODE e del pi\uf9 ampio consorzio internazionale PHAROS, la Fototeca Zeri \ue8 stato il primo archivio fotografico italiano a trasformare i propri dati in Linked Open Data, realizzando due ontologie, F Entry Ontology e OA Entry Ontology, cos\uec da rappresentare la ricchezza informativa prevista dagli standard catalografici Scheda F e Scheda OA.The Art historical Photo Archive Federico Zeri of the University of Bologna owns one of the most precious european collections of photographs depicting artworks, aside a relevant library of art history and a collection of auction catalogs.
